Mercedes-Benz, Germany's Most Popular Commercial Vehicle Brand
text size: A- A+
According to an Emnid study commissioned by the weekly specialist magazine Verkehrs-Rundschau, Mercedes-Benz is the most popular commercial vehicle brand in its native country. But the good news is not over for the German automaker. It seems that Mercedes-Benz won the first place in three of the seven categories: Trucks, Vans and the category Hire/Leasing.
The study made by the opinion research institute TNS Emnid in the autumn of 2008 included a total of 400 fleet managers in transport, freight, industry and trade. They were asked to rank the images of the most important commercial vehicle providers and about products and services for the commercial vehicle fleet.
As far as Mercedes-Benz trucks are concerned, both customers and non-customers seem to have been impressed by their main features: the star cutting-edge technology, the best equipment, the lowest fuel consumption and the greatest reliability. All these are also emphasized in the automaker's slogan: “Trucks you can trust".
Regarding the Service Leasing and Hire chapter, the German automaker won the first place for the fourth time in a row. Therefore, Mercedes-Benz was also praised for the competence and engagement of its advisors.
Last but certainly not the least, Mercedes-Benz took the top step on the podium for the Van category. As a matter of fact, the German car manufacturer managed to raise unanimous votes for this specific category.
Since many purchase decisions are taken only judging by the brand's image, Mercedes-Benz has its reasons to hope that this year they will sell more cars than in 2008.
