Mercedes-Benz BlueEFFICIENCY Exhibition Held in the UK
The Mercedes Benz World, located in Weybridge, Surrey, hosts the BlueEFFICIENCY display presenting Mercedes’ range of “eco” technologies.
One of the exhibition’s stars will be the B-Class F-Cell vehicle, showcasing the company’s hydrogen powered fuel cell technology. A bespoke cutaway example of the car will be present, offering visitors the chance to observe multiple details of the new project. The B-Klasse F-Cell is being produced in a limited series and is destined for a customer test program during the current year. It uses an electric motor that is powered by a fuel cell converted from hydrogen. The car’s tailpipe only emits pure water.
The display also features a 360 degree interactive area. This allows visitors to choose the technology they wish to be informed about. A wide range of options is offered, starting with Mercedes’ BlueEFFICIENCY program, aimed at reducing emissions and improving fuel economy. Another section presents the innovative Diesotto engine which combines the power of a diesel powerplant with the efficiency of a diesel unit. Visitors can also learn about new lithium-ion batteries powering the latest generation of electric vehicles. In addition to that, a special presentation about Mercedes' bionic future automotive path is offered.
Mercedes-Benz’s BlueTECH engines featuring one of the cleanest diesel technologies ever developed will also be present. The company’s AdBlue technology, which injects a bespoke fluid into the exhaust system to reduce emissions, will also be showcased.
