Mercedes Announces 13 All-New Models Until 2020
The announcement was made by CEO Dieter Zetsche at a recent Daimler Group Press Conference in Stuttgart, Germany, adding that Mercedes is preparing a brand new SUV to be built in the United States.
"At our plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, we are currently preparing for the production of another new SUV: an especially dynamic all-terrain vehicle. You will hear more about that soon," said the Dailmer boss, according to Carscoop.
Dieter Zetsche also referred to the new S-Class model, which is bound to be revealed in middle 2013, as being this year's most important vehicle from Mercedes' fleet: "Our most important new model will make its world debut in the middle of this year: the new S-Class. The S-Class is not just any car: it is the epitome of the luxury sedan; a symbol of German engineering skill recognized the world over; a metaphor for best-in-class," he said.
Zetsche's announcement comes just four days after BMW rivals confirmed the introduction of 10 brand new models by the end of 2014.
