Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 Gets the Forgiato Wheels It Could Have Done without

As a tuner, it's one thing to go to town on a car and ultimately fail, and a completely different story when you only touch it with your gloves on and it's still enough to ruin it.

There's actually a debate going on in my head right now about which of the two cases is more frustrating for said tuner. In the first situation, they put all that effort and money into creating something they hoped wwould be special, but only ended up being special in that wrong way. That's bad.

But the second situation might be even worse. Let's say you have a car, any car, and you just can't keep you hands off it. You feel an unexplainable urge to change something about it, and so you do it. Nothing much, just a spoiler, a bumper or some other singular aspect of the car. And, guess what, it's enough to ruin the car. Now that must really suck for you.

If you ask us, that's exactly what OFK did with this Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1. And just before you start pointing out those contrasting carbon fiber aero elements, those are standard for the Edition 1.

No, the only modifications this sporty coupe received from OFK are a lowered suspension, protective wrap and... those inconspicuous wheels. If Volkswagen did a turbine design for their wheels, these look like the active element of a meat mincing machine. And who the hell would want that on his car? And the fact they're painted white only makes them stand out even worse.

In case you want to know what they are so you can keep a minimum of six feet away, they're called Forgiato FONDARE-ECL and they're 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear.

So, there you have it, a nice Mercedes-AMG GT S ruined with one single move. Good job, OFK, good job. See the gallery below for yourself and tell us if you agree or not.
