Black is back! The iPhone 7 has two shades of it, one of which is matte. What's more, I'm writing this story about the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster being black from an equally dark gaming laptop. It's a fingerprint magnet, but I love it, and I have the same feelings for the AMG bespoke convertible.
But first, a little bit of a rant. The current generation of the SL-Class was supposed to fix all the mistakes of the previous ones. It's made from aluminum, yet it's still stuck in noman's land between wanting to be a comfortable cruiser for 60-year olds and a speed machine.
The AMG GT C Roadster is likely to be the final nail in the coffin of the SL 63... if Mercedes allows it to be by not capping production. That's because the GT is loved by the Youtube generations.
Since we've been following it for quite a while, there are no surprises for us in this little teaser video. The GT C has a similar soft-top configuration to its predecessor, the SLS Roadster.
But the paint is new. Compared to the windshield, the body of the super sportscar is far less reflective, leading us to believe that this is another one of those awesome Designo Magno shades.
These are some of the coolest shades in the world, especially when combined with the elegantly violent body kits of AMG models. But will that be enough in the era of cheap matte wraps?
Of course, we aren't surprised that Mercedes has lopped the roof of the car in time for the Paris Motor Show. The roadster is likely to have the same powertrain configuration as the basic AMG GT, bot the S flagship. However, there aren't any further details regarding the 911 Cabrio fighter available right bow.
