Nearly every single body panel has been resculpted in order to make the all-new Charger more modern and attractive. The facelifted four-door muscle car sports a new front fascia inspired from the Dart, dominated by the menacing satin black radiator grille and C-shaped LED running lights. Round the back, taillights also use LED technology while R/T models get a three-piece boot spoiler in standard.

This refreshed model also benefits from minor interior updates similar to the ones seen on the 2015 Challenger. All variants are fitted with a 7-inch TFT screen separating the tachometer and rev-gauge while entertainment comes from an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen media system with Beats Audio.

Handling has been improved over the old model with goodies like lighter yet stronger cast-aluminium axles, an all-wheel drive option and minor suspension tweaks for more poise round the corners. The entry-level 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 comes with either 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque on the base model or 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft (357 Nm) of torque on the SXT trim kitted with the Rallye Appearance Group pack.

As for the R/T models, these are powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 mill rated at 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft (535 Nm) of torque. 0 to 60 miles per hour comes in a little over 5 seconds when the engine is mated to the standard eight-speed TorqueFlight auto box. As for the yet to be announced SRT8 model, the former generation's 6.4-liter V8 with 470 horsepower will be replaced by the all-new Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged V8.

The 2015 Dodge Charger will be available in four models: SE, SXT, R/T and R/T Road & Track, which will be built at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada. Production is slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2014. Check the press release below for further specifications.
