British sportscar manufacturer McLaren Automotive has confirmed that the P13 entry-level model will be launched in 2015.
“In 2015, McLaren will launch the next all-new sportscar, and will take McLaren into a lower pricepoint (top-end Porsche 911/Audi R8)”, a McLaren representative told Inautonews.com.
Little is known about the McLaren P13 (name has yet to be confirmed) is rumored to arrive with 450 horsepower under its hood and cost about £120,000 (€143,000 / $194,000). The sportscar could be unveiled in late 2014.
The Surrey-headquartered manufacture has already begun testing the P13, but the vehicle was fitted with a MP4-12C body.
In McLaren related news, the company has confirmed that the P1 hybrid supercar is sold out, with all of the 375 units being either bought or secured with a deposit.
