McLaren-Honda has started an exciting competition at the beginning of this month, and it is still running.
The online contest gives anyone with an e-mail address the opportunity to win a full-size Go-Kart, which is ready to race. All you have to do to sign up is enter Mobil 1’s The Grid website, and then answer the question asked by the query and fill in your information. That is all, it then comes down to blind luck from that, so put on those lucky socks at the end of September.
The Go-Kart is just like the ones raced by McLaren World Champions Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, Mika Hakkinen, David Coulthard, and Stoffel Vandoorne in a promotional video. The kart race took place on Fernando Alonso’s personal track, which is located in Oviedo, Spain.
Unfortunately, Mobil 1 and McLaren-Honda say that the Go-Kart that can be won is “as driven by” the racing legends mentioned above, which means that you might not get one of the karts driven by one of the drivers.
At least, that is what we understand from “as driven by,” in the current phrasing. However, we do hope the winner at least gets some autographs with that Go-Kart.
Do not get us wrong. We appreciate this contest idea, but we feel that things could have become viral easier if the same Go-Kart was driven by all of the drivers some day and have their autographs.
The contest has a deadline on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. It is until 5 pm, but the time zone has not been specified. It does not matter that much if you read this before that date.
All you have to do to access takes less than two minutes if you are not fast with typing your e-mail and name, and can take less than 30 seconds if you know the answer to the question and have the auto-complete forms function activated your browser.
