When was the last time you saw a movie about motorcycle racing? Exactly! Hollywood is busy forking cash over superhero action flicks lately, but there is a young writer and director that will shoot a new Isle of Mann TT movie having Matt Damon and Liam Neeson as main actors.
According to MoreBikes, the movie, which is simple titled Isle Of Man, revolves around the story of an aging bike racer, played by Damon, who is trying to make one last epic showdown before retiring.

Cameron Donald, a professional bike racer in rear life, will handle all the stunts for Matt, but we don’t know yet what role will Liam play in the movie. Last time his name was stuck to motorcycle racing was in 2014 when he narrated the “Road” TT documentary.

Writer and director Ben Younger is said to be working on this movie since 2000 and will now partner with Bold Films to make his dream come true. Oh, and he was a motorcycle racer too, so he must know the dos and don’ts about riding.

“The TT is the last, great, dangerous race on earth and I am excited by the idea of bringing this new world to a general audience,"
Younger told the publication. “262 racers have lost their lives on this Island. I want to do their stories justice.”

The deal was made at the Toronto International Film Festival following to start actual filming around summer next year on The Island. It is also known that a new Honda Fireblade, the ultra-high performance version of the CBR1000 sportbike, will be part of the movie, hinting the action might take place in the present.

It seems like a promising film for bike racing enthusiasts. It is true that we saw many other TT documentaries, but there wasn’t a proper Hollywood version until now to appeal to other people. We really hope they do it right.
