Be prepared to have your styling sense tickled thanks to the latest color play coming from McLaren, which was dedicated enough to bring us machine liveries for a P1 GTR and an MP4/31.
The official explanation for the hybrid hypercar's racing incarnation and the F1 car dressing as if they were twins has to do with the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place this weekend.

We're always happy to notice how much attention Woking pays to hue details, but this doesn't mean we can simply ask you to stare at these images and call it a day.

First of all, allow us to mention that the Formula One machine we see here might just be last season's MP4/30 wearing the 2016 racecar's nose - while it can be difficult to zoom in on the little details using these photos, there are certain elements, such as the side pods, which appear to confirm this.

As for why the Black and Orange double attire stunt was pulled, this has MSO written all over it. You see, the McLaren Special Operations division is more important than ever nowadays - after about five years on the road car market (McLaren returned back in 2011), the automaker has now reached that point where it can focus on personalizing customer cars and even fulfilling all-custom requests such as the MSO HS. Speaking of which, the background story of the 688 PS McLaren can give you a good x-ray of MSO's current status.

And while F1 seasons come and go (after twelve races, we can clearly say the 2016 season hasn't been McLaren's best one) MSO is steadily increasing its position on the market, so you can consider this an ad delivered not online or on a billboard, but in carbon fiber.

P.S.: This P1 GTR color scheme raises the bar in its field, so we obviously added our supercar-spec-game tag.
