Maserati brought its refreshed sedans to the Paris Motor Show. We are writing about the 2017 Ghibli and the Quattroporte facelift.
Both sedans were featured in the Maserati stand along with the Levante SUV, which was first unveiled in Europe at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The Italian brand also had the GranTurismo and GranCabrio on display, so that its current range was complete at the Parisian event.

Both the Ghibli and the Quattroporte receive a new multimedia unit, which has a diagonal of 8.4 inches and sits in the center of the dash with new graphics and high resolution.

The device supports multi-touch, and is also compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Maserati has also implemented a rotary knob to control the unit’s core functions.

The 2017 model year for the Ghibli and Quattroporte brings more driver assistance systems, which come in the form of a package. It includes adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go function, a lane departure warning, automated emergency braking, a blind spot monitor, and forward collision alert with advanced brake assist.

Customers that order this package can also order a “Surround View Camera,” which is a system that binds views from multiple cameras to show the vehicle’s surroundings as seen from above. Maserati says that it has made its interiors more silent, and that they now come with a standard Air Quality Sensor.

The Quattroporte’s facelift has led to the introduction of a new range strategy, which involves separating the model into two trims - GranLusso and GranSport.

They can be differentiated by their exterior design, which can be easily be observed when looking at the front bumper, if you want a tip to spot them at a glance.

The GranSport has generous air vents in the bumper, while the GranLusso has a more elegant look. The interior of the two versions is wildly different, as the GranLusso focuses on wood trim, while the GranSport comes with carbon fiber, chrome, and leather.

Maserati’s Ghibli has received a similar treatment, as two packages have been introduced in the range - Luxury and Sport. These two offers change the exterior and interior of the Ghibli, and they significantly increase the personalization possibilities of the model that prides itself on being the one in the segment that offers the highest degree of customization.
