Born as a sportscar manufacturer, Maserati is now busy introducing a couple of vehicles that the Maserati brothers probably never thought of: the Ghibli mid-size sedan and the Levante SUV.
WIth the GranCabrio being the only two-door Maserati available, some might argue that the Italian automaker needs a new sportscar. If such a vehicle will be developed and mass produced it remains to be seen, but while we’re wondering what’s next, some designers have already envisioned a possible Maserati sportscar.
Named GranCorsa, AJ Merk’s concept reveals a coupe that would fit perfectly in the current Maserati lineup in terms of design, but unlike the “Trident’s” offerings the GranCorsa was designed as a mid-engined vehicle.
We know this is far-fetched, but the guys over at Maserati should take a peek at these renderings. Who knows, maybe something will come up...
