Mansory Presents Porsche 997 Turbo

It seems that the tuning business keeps marching on, despite the recession. People like to feel special and, apparently, a Porsche 911/997 Carrera Turbo doesn’t do that for you. Therefore, the Swiss luxury tuner Mansory released its customized version of the sports car.

When it comes to the exterior, the tuner offers a complete aerodynamic kit, meant to “add individual lifestyle to your Porsche.” The package includes a new, sportier, front skirt which, on your request, can “shine in precious carbon fibre”.

According to Mansory, “the rearwing is designed in the typical character of a racing car. It causes the important stabilisation of the rear axle and the needed aerodynamic lift. The racy design of the rearwing gets upgraded by carbon fibre exclusively.”

The new side skirts lead back “the complete rearskirt with its integrated air outtakes and the sport exhaust system, which makes your Porsche 997 Turbo look even more aggressive and refers to the topic high performance.”

Though tuning can sometimes seem useless, this time the engineers at Mansory have done a good job, as the car not only has improved aerodynamics, but also looks great. Our first thought was that the exterior should get a matching interior. And it does. The Swiss tuner offers clients the possibility to upgrade their 997 interior with “noble materials and masterly handcraft.” It might not look like the inside of a race car, but that is a good thing for most of us.

The package also includes engine upgrades, a new exhaust manifold along with two silencers and one-piece 20-inch silver rims, measuring 8.5- and 12-inches.
