There may be not much left out of the summer, but that doesn’t mean fun time is over. In fact, we can’t wait for September to kick in, considering that’s when Mad Max the video game is released. And since we’re getting closer to that moment, Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment is already promoting it.
With this video, we’re visiting one of our favorite filmmakers, Devin Supertramp. Devin Graham on his real name has been shooting extreme sports and outside activities for a while know. Things seemed to have been working out quite well for him lately, considering he just did a gig with one of the world’s biggest companies in showbiz.

Yep, he partnered up with Warner Brothers Games to create an impressive short film inspired by the upcoming Mad Max video game. Judging by the fact they went for go-karts instead of the regular apocalyptical cars it means they intended the clip to be as funny as it is spectacular.

They might be using scaled issues of the actual mean machines, but it sure looks like a lot of work has been put into the developing of each ride, not to mention the make-up part of “the actors”. The footage follows Mad Max as he drives one of the go-karts across the fury road while fighting against a gang of War Boys. Instead of fake rifles, they’re using paintball guns, and as we said, it looks they had a blast.

Devin claims that all the go-karts were handmade and that the whole film was shot in 6k using the RED Dragon, after which it was exported out to 4K compressed for YouTube. As to the game it is promoting, you’ll want to know pre-orders are already available online. The official release on Linux, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is scheduled for September 1 in North America, September 2 in Australia, and September 4 in Europe.
