Lumma Design’s products are mostly niche cars. They usually come with an extreme body kit that isn’t for everyone. Some might say that it’s a bit too flashy but in the end, it’s just different strokes for different folks.
The thing is, being a niche product, each Lumma Design car is rare, only a handful being made around the world. The one we’re about to show you is just the third of its kind ever made.
It’s a BMW CLR X5 RS based on the M50d xDrive model that has a 3-liter tri-turbo inline 6-cylinder engine under the bonnet making 381 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque. It’s a blazing fast car that combines a sporty attitude with the fuel consumption of a diesel.
In Lumma Design’s guise it also has a special aerodynamic body kit comprised of a new front bumper with a new spoiler, new kidney grilles, side skirts, mirror covers, rear bumper and spoiler on top of the rear window.
The Lumma wheels complete the package alongside the wider wheel arches ad the interior details that are not bad looking at all. The seats, trims, dash, center console, mats, steering wheel and even pedal covers where changed to give this X5 a fresh look. Everything’s black and white also.
The price for this beauty? RUB6,350,000 or roughly $170,000 at today’s exchange rates. Is it worth it? Well, considering the starting price for an M50d is €85,360 ($110,355) and that this one seems really well sorted in the optionals department, it might very well be worth that kind of money.
