Lotus Loves the Luxury

Looks like the Lotus Europa S is going to become more luxurious, with the release of a new option pack called Luxury Touring. The most important upgrades brought by the Luxury Touring Pack Option can be seen on the inside, where the interior receives a tan leather makeover and chocolate colored leather and brown carpets. Let's not forget the sport seats, also covered with the tan leather and the passenger airbag door coated in a high-tech soft-to-the-touch material (whatever that is). To top it all, Lotus has also equipped the car with an engine start button and a Walnut wood gearknob.

Most upgrade packages are limited to the inside, while the outside of the car - and most of the times the boot - is left out. This time, the entire boot area is covered with brown carpet and it is equipped with luggage straps, because you don't want your luggage to move around in the boot when you're riding your Lotus hard. As for the exterior, the Lotus Europa S receives new tinted rear and rear three-quarter glass, side air-intake surrounds, body coloured front driving lamp and a dash of silver on the radiator and rear light grille surrounds.

All this can be purchased starting with April, for GBP 1,250 in the UK and for EUR 1,750 in the rest of Europe. So far, prices for other regions are still pending, but for sure there won't be a significant difference, it will depend on the local taxes. Unfortunately, this luxury pack does not tamper with the car's performance, maybe it would need some tampering with to increase the 200 stock horsepower. But considering its light weight some find it more than enough.
