Lotus Elise Facelift UK Pricing Released
text size: A- A+
Officially unveiled one month ago, the Elise adopts the family design introduced by its sibling, the Evora. At the front, it has received a new front bumper, which incorporates larger air intakes. This is complemented by a new headlight design, featuring LED daytime running lights (a premiere for the Elise).
The Lotus Elise facelift is powered by either a 1.6-liter engine or a 1.8-liter engine that’s also available with a supercharger. The most powerful (and expensive) version of the sportscar is the supercharged SC version that develops 217 horsepower.
The entry-level Lotus Elise facelift develops 134 horsepower and 118 lbs-ft of torque and can sprint from naught to sixty in 6.7 seconds. The car has a top speed rated at 124 mph (200 km/h).
The 134 hp 1.6-liter engine, a displacement never featured before on the Elise, emits 155 grams of CO2/km, some 13 percent reduction compared to the previous model. The 1.8-liter now produces 196 grams of CO2/km.
All the Elise models receive a six-speed close-ratio gearbox. The facelifted version of the Elise rides on new alloy rims. The Lotus Elise facelift comes with an aluminum and lightweight steel chassis and a fully independent suspension.
