Until Lamborghini makes up its mind about the name of the Gallardo sucessor, we’ve got a spy video that comes assorted with the Huracan / Cabrera’s engine sound.
The clip below shows the supercar testing on the Autobahn. As the camera car approaches the prototype, the driver floors it, fading away into the horizon. The soundtrack is... well, very Lamborghini-like. The steady increase of the engine’s voice leads us to believe we are dealing with a naturally-aspirated unit.
Lamborghini recently offered us an official engine sound, but there are a few problems with using that as a clue. First of all, the sound seems to be highly processed, not real world-like. Then there’s the mistery around it, as Lambo only links it to the Hexagon Project, which may or may not be the Gallardo’s sucessor.
So far, the most plausible engine-related rumor indicates that the Huracan / Cabrera will pe powered by a revamped version of the Gallardo’s 5.2-liter V10 engine. This is expected to exceed the 600 HP mark.
