Lexus dealers in the US probably only have a handful of LFAs to sell, as production of all the 500 promised examples is nearing the end. But thankfully, it’s not the end of the story for Toyota’s supercar, as the LFA Roadster has reportedly been confirmed for a mid-2014 debut.
This means there will be a hiatus between the end of LFA coupe production and the launch of the Roadster. Let’s hope the engineers use this time well, as the car can’t really keep up in terms of performance, and many people have been asking for a double-clutch gearbox.
The 4.8-liter V10 engine, which currently has 560 horsepower, also deserves a boost in order for the LFA to be able to keep up with the less expensive Ferrari and McLaren.
Also on Lexus’ to-do list is a coupe version of the GS. We also know from our own sources that the IF Convertible will get a hot F version.
