Ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show, Japanese luxury automaker Lexus has dropped details of a new concept called the LF-CC, which is short for Lexus Future Coupe Concept.
As Lexus has not released the dimensions of the concept yet, it’s a bit hard to say what this concept previews. However, they describe it as “announcing the launch of a premium mid-sized coupe in the more accessible D-segment in the near future.”
The GS sedan, which is a mid-size sedan, has been rumored to be getting a coupe version, and this could very much be it. However, we’re also waiting to se the next generation IS compact executive car, which should be here by 2014.
Whatever the car, the new LF-CC comes with a brand new hybrid powertrain, combining a petrol 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that combines both port and direct injection with an electric motor.
The styling of the concept takes inspiration from the LF-LC concept shown in Detroit back in January. Among the most striking features, we’d mention the triple-projector-beam headlights and sculpted side mirrors.
autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
