Few of you American readers know the Lexus CT 200h comes in no less than 6 grades in the UK. Oh, make that seven now with the introduction of the Advance Plus flavor. Man, marketing is a strange thing...
Yep, Lexus UK just added some extra stuff on the CT 200h Advance, called it Advance Plus and asks £1,250 more for the added amenities. Let’s see what’s new. Don’t expect any mechanical upgrades, since this grade is under the F Sport grade that comes with a sporty suspension. We’re talking about visuals here only.
First of all, they added the two tone exterior finish, which paints the roof in glossy black to make a nice contrast with the available Fuji Red, Ultra Blue, Sonic White and Sonic Titanium. Celestial Black is on the list two, but then the contrast will be missing.
You also get a sunroof as well as the larger F Sport spoiler, 17-inch dark silver finish rims, while the cabin gets fabric and Tahara upholstery combination. These are all adding up to the Advance grade which comes with front/rear parking sensors, keyless entry, cruise control, heated front seats and sat nav.
Power comes from the same hybrid drivetrain you get on the Prius comprising a 1.8-liter Atkinson cycle gasoline engine aided by an electric motor in the gearbox, summing up for 134 hp.
