Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button Build F1 Car in Vodafone Ad

Ever wondered how those hundreds of parts of a Formula One car come together to form such a mind-blowing machinery that laps a 4-km circuit in less than one and a half minute? Well, it seems the guys at McLaren Mercedes decided to show us how it's done via a Vodafone ad, posted on the company's YouTube channel.

And when we mean “the guys at McLaren Mercedes” we're not suggesting the tens of mechanics that earn their living by assembling an F1 car day after day at the Woking headquarters, but the very two world champions that are currently driving for the British team: Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

The two seem to have more in common than a title apiece in the Formula One championship: they apparently know how to assemble an F1 car. Although this is clearly an image and popularity exercise from Vodafone, it's interesting to see how the two drivers get along while trying to set up a winning MP4-25.

Looking at the Vodafone ad we can't help it noticing the great chemistry between those two champions, despite the several comments made by some F1 pundits prior to the start of the season. They were recently engaged in a thrilling battle for the win in Turkey, yet is seems their relationship has remained virtually untouched.

It's fascinating to see those two in action and once again, although this is clearly a well-designed ad made for promoting purposes, it's a delight to see Ham and Jenson in a more friendly and relaxed mood. Enjoy!
