Last Ferrari F430, Sold for 180,000 Euros
The hammer price for the F430 was of 180,000 euros ($244,080). The car will feature an unique two-tone livery, a certificate signed by Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo, and also a personalized dedication plate to commemorate the generous donation. The winner will also select further specifications and options at Ferrari's Maranello headquarters.
As for the performances of the F430, the car uses a 4.4l V8 engine, developing 490 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 465 Nm at 5,250 rpm. Mated to a F1 gearbox with paddle shift, the F430 reaches 100 km/hour from a standstill in 4 seconds and tops at 315 km/hour (196 mph).
The F430 auction was not the only fund-raising activity undertaken by Ferrari to help rebuilding in Abruzzo, as 40,000 euros ($54,240) were also raised by the online sale of Scuderia Ferrari memorabilia items.
the F450, which will be first presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show in October, will replace the F430 model. The F450 will run on an enlarged version of the previous model's 4.5l V8, equipped with direct injection.
The powerplant has a 500 horsepower output and is controlled by a variant of the seven-speed dual-clutch system that can be seen on the new California model.
