While Land Rover is figuring out the details of the modern Defender, the automaker has decided to keep us busy with a limited edition for the Defender we grew up with.
Dubbed Defender Africa Edition, the offroader is some sort of an automotive champagne bottle, with its cork sent flying as a nod to the "over 67 years of boldly going where no other vehicle has gone before."

The body of the Defender Africa Edition comes finished in Santorini Black, while its roof section sports an elegant shade of Red. A Defender Africa decal comes to complete the package. Perhaps a warning to all those predators roaming the savanna...

Speaking of the dangers that await this offroader, the Land Rover is ready to get you out of trouble thanks to a host of optional accessories. We are talking about a roof rack, bumper caps, a snorkel for the air intake, a front protection element, as well as a rear step.

While the offroad tires-gifted alloy wheels also feature a Black finish, the same two-tone color play goes on inside the rugged cabin of the Defender. This is where we find Black seat covers with Red piping, while the list of amenities includes Bluetooth connectivity.

Land Rover will only build fifty units of the Defender Africa Edition. While that may arrive as good or bad news, depending of which side of the availability you are on, we have to mention the edition will be available for both wheelbase values, namely the Defender 90 and the Defender 110.
