Lancia Ypsilon S MOMODESIGN Coming to Geneva

If we were to look on Lancia's official (Italian) website, we'd notice they have no less than six "model" on offer. But the reality is most are rebadged Chryslers or really old models.

The one exception, however, is the Ypsilon, a supermini built on the same platform as the Fiat 500 and offering five doors, four airbags and the promise of low fuel consumption.

Thechnically, it's a supermini, but because of its high price and strange looks, it can't match its rivals for popularity. So Lancia has constantly updated it with special edition models to give its mainly Italian customers that "get them while they're hot" hyped feeling.

The latest announced for Geneva is the Ypsilon S MOMODESIGN, built in partnership with the design house for motorcycle apparel and gear.

Customers will be able to chose between four engines, for the special edition: 1.2 69 PS, 1.2 running on LPG, the new 0.9 TwinAir with 85 PS and the pic of the bunch, a diesel 1.3 with 95 PS.

Scheduled to launch across Europe in the second half of the year, the MOMO Lancia will come in several two-tone color combinations. The stander wheels will be 15-inch, but the matte black 16-inch ones you see in the pictures will also be available.
