Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has recently reassured us that the carmaker is continuing to focus on its naturally-aspirated engines.
Winkelmann recently spoke to Motor Trend, explaining that it would be easy for Lamborghini to lend some pieces of technology from the Volkswagen Group and build an ultimate hybrid supercar, one that would compete against the LaFerrari and McLaren P1. However, Lamborghini doesn’t want to rush into this, so, for now, we can all enjoy its N.A. powerplants.
The CEO also spoke about the upcoming Urus, which is due to arrive in 2017. He reminded us of the fact that Lamborghini built the first luxury SUV back in the 80s, the LM002 and promised that the Urus will be a “game changer”.
He didn’t offer any details about the SUV, but admitted that this is a challenge for the automotive producer.
