Lamborghini Reportedly Working on Reventon Roadster
Obviously, it's all speculation and nobody can say for sure if Lamborghini is really planning a Roadster version of the Reventon. Meanwhile, the folks over at carsuk.net write that the model is likely to be powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine developing 670 horsepower, the same as Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. However, it's not yet clear whether the company plans to use the same weight-reduction systems as on the SuperVeloce - this particular model uses lightweight materials that cut weight in almost every single area (26 kg (57 lbs) from the engine, 33 kg (72.6 lbs) from the chassis and exterior and 34 kg (74.8 lbs) from the interior).
A few days ago, Lamborghini confirmed it won't produce the Estoque concept car displayed at the Paris Auto Show in 2008.
"In reference to recent press coverage commenting on cancellation of its Estoque project, Lamborghini has not taken any decision to produce its Estoque concept car, the four door performance saloon concept shown at Paris motor show in 2008," Lamborghini said in a statement for the press released this week.
"As stated when the car was shown, Lamborghini believes that if a third model line should ever be added to its product line up, a four door luxury performance saloon could be a logical product strategy. No decision has been made to produce the Estoque."
