Lamborghini Jota Sketch Makes Us Dream

Lamborghini has always been a synonym for showing off and being bold. After all, the company was born out of an act of hyper-ambition. Now, the Raging Bull is stepping into the future, where even supercars have to be eco-friendly.

However, this is a difficult task, as the level of power and pure performance offered by the members of the automotive industry’s elite has reached unimaginable levels. This is why Lambo decided that out-of-this world design, some Audi magic dust and a hefty engine output aren’t enough to keep itself on top of the speeding game.

Earlier this year, the automotive producer made a promise to the world, committing to build lightweight future vehicles that will write a new chapter in the automotive history books. Of course, Lambo is planning to achieve this by making extensive use of carbon fiber.

All said and done. The company’s specialist started working and the first result of this new “diet” philosophy appeared at the Geneva Auto Show, in the form of the Sesto Elemento (Sixth Element) concept, a vehicle that borrows the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superlegerra’s 570 hp 5.2 liter V10 engine and all-wheel-drive system, but abuses carbon fiber and manages to tip the scales at only 999 kg/2,202 lbs – we’ll remind you that the “donor car” weighs 1,340 kg (2,954 lbs). And the vehicle is now set to enter limited production, with Lambo planing to build between 7 and 10 units of the lightweight monster.

However, it will be very interesting to see how this philosophy will be translated into the heavyweight category. We are talking about the upcoming Jota model. Being the successor of the Murcielago, the vehicle has an infinite reputation to stand up to, so Lambo must be extra careful. The car is now in its final development stages and promises to come with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis that will allow it to spare 229 kg (compared to the Murcie) and offer a 70 percent increase in rigidity.

We’ve decided to offer you a sketch of the vehicle, so that you can enjoy this while Lambo adds the final touches to the real thing. Created by a web user named DonVinzone, the image shows us an aggressive vehicle that manages to capture our imagination.
