It's been years since anybody has lusted after a Lamborghini Gallardo with true passion. At every gas station and supermarket, you see dozen of unsold scale models and RC toys. Let's face it folks, the first V10 machine just isn't cool any more, not when the Huracan is shaped like a military jet on sci-fi.
Having only just been revealed at the beginning of the year, the Huracan LP610-4 is desired by millions of people, a couple of thousand of them being rich enough to place an order already. Obviously, if you're reading this story, you're not among those lucky few, so it's time to look at one of the best diecast models we've seen all year.
A company called MR Collection is selling a 1:18 scale version of the Huracan. What does 1:18 scale mean? Well, it means that the models are 18 times smaller than the real thing. So while Lamborghini's monster measures 4,459 mm (175.6 in) from end to end, the model is only 25 centimeters long (9.7 inches). Unfortunately, it doesn't mean that you get 33 horsepower (610/18=33).
We've found two different shades available, the sexy Rosso Mars and a more subtle Azzurro Thetys, each with its own version of the space-age Italian interior. You can also order the models in acid green, yellow and even black. The Huracan is available now through your local MR retailer or the Japanese company's online store.
