Lamborghini Diablo Destroyed in Luxembourg
The standard car came with rear-wheel drive, delivering 500 horsepower from a 5.7-liter engine through a short ratio gearbox. The official brief said you could hit at least 315 km/h (196 mph), but you’d have to be a little bit crazy to do that.
Hit a little bit of ice or even water and the Devil will bite you... hard. A French driver learned this the hard way when he crashed his Diablo in the forests of Luxembourg. The car spun out of control and hit a bunch of trees.
Fortunately, he wasn’t hurt, but the damage to the supercar will be tricky to fix if not impossible due to the thinness of the aluminum panels.
