Lamborghini Centenario Roadster Ready to Take on LaFerrari Aperta as a Rendering

Yesterday will go down in automotive history as the LaFerrari Aperta day. After a spy video that "peered" through the Maranello factory gates delivered the first spotting of the partial canvas top of the new halo car, Maranello was quick to respond with the first official pics.

Further Internet reactions have not failed to show up, as is the case with the rendering above. We're dealing with a pixel rearrangement that delivers the Roadster incarnation of the Centenario, Sant'Agata Bolognese's current halo machine.

Given the powertrain, production run and, let's face it, the monstrous appearance league differences between the LaF and the Centenario, the two are far from direct competitors and yet there are plenty of scenarios in which they could share customers.

For instance, the Instagram aficionado we showed you yesterday, who owns a rich bouquet of high-velocity machines, LaFerrari and FXX K included, could easily consider adorning his collection with a Centenario Roadster.

As a result, digital artist X-Tomi has deiced to bring us a fresh rendering of the open-air Lamborghini, thus delivering a pixel competitor for the LaF Aperta.

When it comes to the official part of the story, the Raging Bull has already announced it would gift the world with fixed-roof Centenarios, with just as many Roadsters being on their way.

In our book, the Roadster incarnation of the Centenario would be a serious improvement compared to the coupe and we're not talking about the driver wearing a Lamborghini cap to keep his hairstyle from getting messed up.

For one thing, the occupants could dip further into the 759 hp (770 PS) delivered by the 6.5-liter V12 at the middle of the car. And yes, the Centenario has the kind of voice that could make you forget about its oddball looks.

And if, like tons of enthusiasts out there, you simply can't get over the odball styling of the Centenario, there's no problem, as the entire production run has long been spoken for.
