Good news for those waiting for the long-expected KTM 390 Duke, as our two-wheeled Indian friends inform us that the strike at the Bajaj plant in Chakan did not affect the production for this orange beauty.
Analyzing the production status, Bajaj officials decided to shift manufacturing Pulsar machines in another facility in Aurangabad, together with 200-300 workers. This way, the Chakan plant can now focus on meeting the increasing demand of KTM 390 Duke machinery.

This move is important as the Bajaj plant in Chakan is also manufacturing the 390 Dukes to be sold in international markets.

Only 30% of the workers in the Chakan facility are active, and production dropped to under 50% of the initial figures. The workers' demands are highly unacceptable and it looks like the strike will keep on. While the 390 Dukes are still rolling out the factory doors at the needed rate, those who are still waiting for theirs are happy.
