Kraus Motor Co. is nothing short of spectacular and impeccable in what they do, and here's one more of their astonishing bikes, the Johnson Special, one of the sleekest and tidiest choppers we ever set eyes upon.
Renowned for their unusual approach to bike building and for their top-drawer design and technology, Kraus is making liberal use of their "less is more" magic. If you look closely you won't see clutch or brake levers... because there are none. The Johnson Special uses the proprietary Hydraulic Twist Clutch and Twist Brake systems for a clean, bespoke look.

Kraus needed half a year to build the Johnson Special, but the result is stunning. The 40-degree triple-tree-less front end may look like a BMX on steroids, but it comes with very little unsprung weight, being able to offer a quick response to the bumps on the road. Performance Machine 4-piston calipers ensure the braking power, while the sprocket brake is definitely a things we just don't get to see too often.

The 96cui EVO engine got S&S cylinders, heads and cams, with Wiseco pistons and Delcron cases and Crain Cams for the ignition. A Harley 5-speed transmission was mated to a 3" BDL primary and BDL clutch and a chain final drive.

All controls and pegs, frame, tanks and wiring are made in-house by Kraus, and Beaver Leather Craft custom seat came in place, too, with a top-notch shock absorber to match. Without any fear of exaggerating, we can say the Johnson Special is one of the few perfect machines in the world.
