Koenigsegg Brings Trevita to Frankfurt

Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg has just revealed their latest contraption, a limited edition of their CCXR. Dubbed Trevita, the car will be first introduced to the public at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) next week. “When sunlight hits the car, it sparkles like millions of silvery white diamonds infused inside the visible carbon fiber weave bodywork,” says the company in the recently released statement. Trevita is an abbreviation in Swedish and translates into 'three whites'. Only three Koenigsegg Trevitas are being built, which will make it even rarer than the six CCXR Editions produced. The three cars are fully equipped with Koenigsegg Shimmering Diamond Weave bodywork, double carbon wing, paddle-shift, inconell exhaust system, carbon ceramic brakes with ABS, hydraulic lifting system, infotainment system, tyre monitoring system, chrono instrument cluster and airbags. The carbon wave bodywork is in fact what makes the Trevita so special, since it’s the first time the Swedish carmaker uses an alternative to the classic black carbonfibres. The engineers worked hard until they finally managed to develop The Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave. “The process was fully developed at Koenigsegg headquarters in Angelholm Sweden, where the fiber treatment is conducted carefully in small quantities, prior to further processing the prepreg material,” the statement said. There is no word about the pricing yet, but we will keep you posted. autoevolution will be attending the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of these vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
