Koenigsegg seems to be in a brilliant mood these days (not that the Swedes' vibe has ever been less than fantastic), one that has to do with curiosity.
Earlier today, the Angelholm brand quenched our thirst of K knowledge by offering us an image of the Regera "in skeletal form". We don't get to see an "x-ray" of a 1,500 hp hybrid on a daily basis, so excuse us for drooling all over our keyboards while delivering the news to you.
Nevertheless, the automaker has recently had some curiosities of its own. For instance, the company wanted to know whether a man who's 6 feet and 11 inches tall would fit inside one of its cars, namely a CCXR.
The question poped in Koenigsegg's mind last week, when the company held a special experience for Castrol employees on its test track. And since these Swedes are good with social media, they wanted to share it with us.
In fact, here's the K company's message, delivered via its Facebook page: "Can a 6ft 11in (210cm) guy fit in a Koenigsegg? Yes he can! As a passenger, at least. Alex from Castrol might be tallest guy we've ever had in one of our cars. Here he is with Koenigsegg test driver Christoffer Nygaard (the not so tall one),"
Since you don't need to be an automotive engineer to notice the CCXR's roof had been removed, people quickly started asking questions and we'll give you the automaker's reply: "It [the roof] was off all day. But I'm sure it made it easier for Alex to get in the car, too,"
So would the guy fit underneath the top or would he go all Jeremy-Clarkson-is-too-tall-for-the-Ford-GT40? You'll probably have to turn to guessing the answer.
Come to think of it, since Koenigsegg had been on a three-continent Agera RS limited editions launch spree prior to the shenanigans described here, it's no wonder the company turned to such stunts. After all, everybody enjoys a bit of diversity.
