Knight XV Making European Debut at Top Marques Monaco 2011

Conquest Vehicles’ Knight XV armored monster will set wheel on European ground for the first time, as the vehicle will be displayed at the Top Marques Monaco 2011, in April. We are talking about a vehicle that has been designed from the ground up to be an armored animal.

The creation packs multiple types of armor, including opaque armor, with high strength steel, ballistic aluminum, composites, aramid and ceramics, a special firewall between the engine and the passenger compartment, special door protection (high-resistance hinges included), as well as ballistic glass.

The vehicle is based on Freightliner platform chassis, allowing customers to choose between a 325 hp gasoline engine and a 300 hp oil burner, with the company offering performance upgrades for both powerplants. Both units work with a five-speed Torqshift automatic tranny. The connection to the road is established via a set of solid rims that use Michelin XZY 385/65 Rx22.5 tires.

The KNIGHT-XV is an armoured vehicle and not a vehicle that has been uparmoured. This means that unlike most vehicles that are uparmoured after-market, the KNIGHT XV is manufactured as an armoured vehicle from the ground up using top-grade armouring materials,” a company release reads.

With its distinct size, extraordinary security features and ultra-luxurious interior appointments, the KNIGHT XV provides one of the most unique vehicle ownership experiences in today's SUV marketplace. The innovative and incomparable KNIGHT XV takes approximately 4,000 hours to hand build with precision craftsmanship and attention to detail that one can expect from a vehicle of this caliber.
