While we patiently wait for Audi to do its thing and come up with a new R8 that blows the competition out of the water, there's still plenty that can be done to the current generation, which has curb appeal in spades. All it really needs is a little more power, and that's exactly what the company K.MAN decided to add to a couple of V10 models.
"Under the banner of the scorpion" the company has revealed a 3-stage power boost available for both the coupe and spider versions of the 5.2-liter V10. The secret: twin turbocharging, increasing its output from 525 hp to a whopping 750 horsepower.
Stage 1 is called GTK and increases the output to a respectable 590 hp, which is more than any R8 ever put into production. After that, the Stage 2 named GTK S offers 640 hp. That, if anyone asks, is what you used to receive with from Lamborghini's V12-powered Murcielago.
Finally, there's the cherry on top of the cake, the 750 hp pack called GTK RS. With more power than a Pagani Huayra, the tuned Audi manages to go from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 10.6 seconds.
K.MAN's R8 also offers a Bilstein clubsport chassis upgrades, bigger brake rotors, bespoke cross-x pipe exhaust system with valve control and a new set of multi-spoke alloy wheels.
