Kimi Raikkonen in Talks with Red Bull?

Fernando Alonso's move to Ferrari has triggered a multitude of rumors regarding the potential lineups of next year. Even the teams that have already secured their lineups for next season were thrown into the mix by the media, as everything can change in an instance inside the Great Circle (with Ferrari being the best example).

The latest and hottest of these latest rumors concern Kimi Raikkonen (who else, right?). Still with no commitment for the 2010 season, after being ousted by the Scuderia, the Finnish driver suggested that he'll only sign for a competitive team next season. Under the circumstances, it seemed McLaren would be the best choice for the 2007 world champion.

However, it seems Toyota has also stepped in to fight for Kimi's signature. And the two teams are not alone, as it emerged late yesterday that Red Bull Racing might also be interested in signing the Ferrari-an from as early as 2010. Despite the fact that both Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel have ongoing contracts until the end of next year, the Aussie might be ousted from Milton Keynes in exchange of a compensatory retribution.

We are negotiating even with teams that everybody thinks have no vacancies,” Kimi Raikkonen's manager Steve Robertson was quoted as saying yesterday.

Toyota are also looking for some new drivers for next season, as Jarno Trulli (most certainly) and Timo Glock (still undecided) will leave the team after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. With Robert Kubica already in Renault's courtyard, Kimi Raikkonen seems like the perfect replacement for the 2010 lineup.
