Kicherer Mercedes ML63 AMG Carbon Series Released

A new generation of the Mercedes ML is here, but until its AMG version enters stage, tuning companies have to make due with the outgoing one. This is exactly what German aftermarket developer Kicherer has done, releasing a modification package for the ML63 AMG.

The project uses the Carbon Series designation, with the car being wrapped in carbon fiber foil and coming with smoked taillights and dark tinted windows. The vehicle rides on 23-inch alloy rims, which use a five-spoke design, come in a 23-inch size and have a black finish that accentuates the bad boy image of the SUV.

The tuner has also played on the tech field, gifting the 6.2-liter V8 with an ECU remap and a stainless steel sport exhaust system. This allows the naturally aspirated powerplant to come with an output premium of 30 hp and 10 Nm (7 lb-ft). Thus, the driver can use 540 hp and 40 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque. Of course, we want to know what impact this has had on the vehicle’s performance. Unfortunately, Kicherer doesn’t offer us exact figures.

KICHERER gifts the ML63 AMG with a performance increase to 540 HP (397 kW), with a new maximum torque at a full 640 Nm. In addition to exciting acceleration values, this power also provides for a maximum speed far in excess of 250 km/h,” a company statement reads.

The tuning company also offers a few modifications for the interior, using materials like Alcantara and carbon fiber to make the cabin special.
