Kia Picanto Nail Art Animation Released

As the years go by, automotive engineers pack more and more value into small cars. Just think about it - not so long ago, ultra-compact vehicles were nothing more than a cheap set of four wheels. When you drove such a vehicle, almost all of its aspects showed you that it was built with the aim to reduce costs. However, things have changed quite a lot and the "little" segments now have a lot to offer.

However, the engineers are not alone in this story. Not at all. No, we are not referring to the designers - they too are a vital part of this story, but we're just not willing to focus on styling cues here.

We are talking about the women and men in the marketing office(s), who are going to great lenghts to bring these small cars to out attention. The latest example of their work is the adjacent creation, which shows us the world's first nail art animation. Before we start talking about this, we have to tell you that this story is all about the 2012 Kia Picanto.

The animation you can see bellow was created using 1,200 bottles of nail polish (about the amount needed by the prom queen to survive through college), with the drawing process taking 24 days... and nights.

What can we say? This certainly isn't the first thing that comes to our mind when we think about automotive world firsts, but we have to admit that we like it.

In case you were wondering, the soundtrack is a bespoke one - the song you can hear while watching the video is called... Picanto song and was created especially for the Kia Picanto nail art video and TV ad.
