Kevorkian's VW Bus, for Sale on eBay

All you people who have a thing for creepy, once-belonged-to-notorious-people items, here's a new toy you may like: a 1968 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon, which once belonged to the most outspoken, fervent supported of the right-to-die: Jack Kevorkian. {Ad}

The van, placed on eBay at the following link, was allegedly used by Kevorkian to assist people to commit suicide. It's not clear how many of the alleged 130 kills (or suicides, depending on how you feel about euthanasia) involved the van, but the man who put it up for sale, Jack Finn, says this is "the real deal."

"The bus is the real deal, not a romanticized copy such as what is used in the HBO movie, 'You Don't Know Jack'," Finn says. "The vehicle drove in under its own power but to use the bus on the road today would require bringing it up to current standards. Although the vehicle may actually move and stop under its own power, it's being sold as a collector's item, not a drivable bus."

Finn is the man who sold VW parts to Kevorkian over several years. He bought the van in 1997, prior to Doctor Death's incarceration and, he says, has stored it unused in a warehouse, in the same condition as when it was used by Kevorkian.

On the eBay page were the bus can be found, the current bid (at the time we're writing this piece, April 26) reached $3,050.
