Good news for the fans of Kevin Schwantz: the legend rider is back into racing, and this time it's the prestigious 8-Hour Endurance race at Suzuka.

Schwantz, 49, is joining Team Kagayama and will have team owner Yukio Kagayama and racing star Noriyuki Haga as team mates. It looks like Team Kagayama is some soft of all-star gathering, given Schwantz' former 500cc World Champion past, Haga's consistent career in MotoGP, World Superbike and British Superbike series.

In fact, both Haga and Kagayama, who is a regular presence in the Japanese Road Racing series, are former winners in the Suzuka 8-Hours endurance race, so we're expecting quite some show from Schwantz and the Kagayama team. The three riders will be at Suzuka with the team's Suzuki GSX-R1000 machine.

Unlike others who retired, Kevin has constantly been on two wheels all these years as he has been running a riding school since the beginning of the 2000s.

The lawsuit between Kevin Schwantz and the Circuit of the Americas management is still in development, and until he and his supporters and fans see the results, we're all very glad to see the legend riding once more. Go Kevin! Via Asphalt&Rubber.
