Kawasaki USA Appoints Masafumi Nakagawa as New President

Masafumi “Masa” Nakagawa is the new President of Kawasaki Motors Corp. USA (KMC), the company announces. The new appointment becomes effective as of April 1, and is not a joke.
Nakagawa replaces Takeshi “Tak” Teranishi, who will become president of Kawasaki Motors Corp. Japan.

The new KMC USA President joined Kawasaki back in 1977, after receiving a degree in economics from the Kyoto University.

During his career, Nakagawa worked in several positions in Kawasaki Heavy Industries subsidiary companies in Japan and Europe, prior to moving to the US and spending 6 years at the KMC headquarters in Irvine in the late 90's.

“Masa’s experience in all aspects of Kawasaki’s business operations will allow the company to continue its growth path and strengthen efforts to broaden our brand’s impact in the powersports arena,” said former President Teranishi, quoted by dealernews.
