Kawasaki Ninja 300 30th Anniversary Edition Unwrapped

With smooth-looking 30th anniversary Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-6R machines around, it was only a matter of time until Kawasaki unveiled the small-displacement model to celebrate three decades of “Ninjism” heritage.

The bike will most likely arrive in dealerships some time later this year, but no firm date was offered, so the fans of the small Ninja would better file some info request with their nearest dealers or check back with autoevolution from time to time.

It looks like the 30th Anniversary Ninja 300 will follow in the steps of its bigger siblings as far as technology is concerned. That is, the bike will only receive a killer aesthetic upgrade over the stock green fairing, but with no performance upgrades, not even a racing exhaust or anything.

Still, it will proudly display the 30th Anniversary identification emblem and be instantly recognized as a limited edition machine. Plus, the new graphics look really cool, with a very aggressive combination of green background, black and white, adding to the street cred of the machine.

If the recipe for the other anniversary bikes is maintained, then we’ll see this one rolling out for a couple of hundreds more than the standard machine, but delivered in sufficient quantities for all markets. So you can expect a bike with very cool looks and still producing 39 hp and 29Mn (21.4 lb-ft) of torque, still a bit on the heavy side, but equipped with a slipper clutch and optional ABS.

We’ll be back with more official phots, a price and hopefully a start sales date.
