Namely, it's some 2012-2013 Concours 14 police-spec machines which may develop some electrical issues. The main fuse on these bikes is a 30-amp one, but with all the additional police gear installed on them, this may not be enough, causing the fuse to blow. Even more, the wiring harness for the police-specific gear may chafe and lead to a short, causing the same fuse to blow.

In case the 30A main fuse blow, the whole electrical system of the motorcycle wills top functioning, including the engine. Needless to say that an engine stalling while traveling is a major risk and can cause severe crashes.

Kawasaki has not yet provided a schedule for the recall, but said that they will notify all owners, and dealers will correct the electrical problems. Kawasaki can be reached at 1-866-802-9381.
