Yes, we did write Kanye West, and no, we’re not going all tabloid on you. However, there is this video we stumbled upon that just cannot pass unnoticed. Behold, the rapper, the producer, the fashion guru, the reality celebrity, the Kardashian-husband of the hour, Kanye West is getting home with a Hyundai Elantra.
Oh, no! Oh, yes!

Wikipedia tells us that Kanye Omari West is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, director, painter, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. Is there anything the 27-year-old artist has not covered with his resume? It’s not us who should answer this question. We are able, however, to tell you a little of his car-style.

As any rapper out there, things need to be flashy with the Atlanta, Georgia-born Roc-A-Fella Records producer. He wears the utmost golden chains on the market, gets custom diamond jewelry, and generally designs his own clothes. Naturally, the artist’s cars will keep the same pace, a rhythm of exclusivism and luxury, that is.

With Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, the auto discussion starts and ends with Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. We’re talking about a car that would cost at least $100,000. Daily commuting is done with supercars such as Lamborghini Aventador or high-end limousines such as the famous-to-rappers Rolls-Royce.

That is why, when the celebrity couple ended up in a Hyundai Elantra they seemed a little embarrassed. The video was taken the other month. It shows the family waiting for the ride home when one of their assistants hops at the wheel of the regular, $17,000 compact car and drives them away from the parking lot of a restaurant.

We’re not saying the car is not to our liking, but think about this: Kanye West's wrist watch alone is worth around $80,000...
