Jose Mourinho Is the First UK Customer of the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe

Even if you're not a big fan of football (also known as soccer in the U.S.), you must've heard at least once the following name: Jose Mourinho. He's a Portuguese former football player and the current manager of Chelsea FC, also filling the role of Jaguar UK brand ambassador. The lucky Chelsea boss has now taken delivery of the first F-type R Coupe to be specified for a UK customer.

Customized to his liking, the Jag sports a Stratus Grey Metallic exterior paint job, 20-inch Gyrodyne black and diamond turned wheels with red brake calipers, a panoramic glass roof and a 12-speaker Meridian audio system. Under the hood, the F-Type R Coupe boasts the same 550 horsepower supercharged V8 engine also used by the XKR-S and XKR-S GT.

Speaking at the handover event, Jose Mourinho said: "I am very proud to now own the new F-Type R Coupe. It was an honour to receive this spectacular sports car from the gentlemen responsible for building it and I would like to thank the Jaguar team at Castle Bromwich for producing such a wonderful car."

Jaguar UK also announced that it has launched a network of 20 specialist R Performance Centres at selected dealerships throughout England, Scotland and Wales. These offer specialist product knowledge and after sales care dedicated to performance Jags wearing the 'R' badge.

Ken Forbes, the Jaguar UK marketing director, declared: "As well as offering outstanding support to buyers and owners, later this year we'll be introducing a selection of circuit-based driving activities for Jaguar 'R' product customers, meaning they will be able to explore the limits of their car and driving skills in a safe and exhilarating environment."
