This year we were on the spot when the Gumball 3000 Rally kicked off in Stockholm and followed the event throughout Europe to see exactly what’s what. During our time in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany and Holland we couldn’t help but notice Jon Olsson’s outrageous Audi RS6.
That car is a thing of absolute madness, continuing the famous skier’s streak in the lifestyle event. Back in 2014 he drove a Lamborghini-powered Rebellion LMP-style sports car that was probably the most impractical ride of the entire line-up.

This year he drove the Audi above, that was built with the help of ex-Koenigsegg chief engineer, Leif Tufvesson and has over 1,000 HP. It’s a monster.

“It’s like a powerhouse, it’s so loud. When you want to overtake someone you floor it and everything goes mental. When you’re driving and just chilling, it’s like a normal Audi A6. But when you hit the accelerator, it’s like a freaking race car,” said Jon Olsson about his ride.

However, his car has seen its last day in the Gumball adventure already. Jon is now in the US, but he didn’t take his Audi with him, instead deciding to switch to a tweaked 1967 Chevrolet Camaro that was waiting on the other side of the Atlantic.

So what’s next for that engineering piece of brilliance? Well, it seems like the Swede wants to sell it to raise funds for next year’s project car. Considering it has custom turbos on and it will make over 1,000 HP on race fuel, combined with the fact that it was raced in this year’s rally by Jon himself, we’re expecting quite a high price tag for it.

“There is no price on the Audi yet, but I have some new ideas and anything that I would trade it with has to be more extreme. My next car needs more power, to be louder and be more racy,” he declared. Let's see what he can come up with then...
