Jesse’s Jetta from “The Fast and the Furious” Is Now for Sale

I’m sure everyone remembers the first movie of the “Fast and Furious” franchise and the Race Wars battle between Jesse, in his dad’s white Volkswagen Jetta, and Johnny Tran in his Honda S2000. Well, you might want to get your hand deep into your pockets because the white Jetta is now for sale at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, to be held between January 23 and 31, 2016.

The car is currently owned by Frankie Muniz, known for playing the agent Cody Banks, and is still in the same condition as when the movie was filmed. The 1995 Jetta has a custom stereo, an onboard PlayStation 2, all the graphics and body kit pieces, and on top of it all, the signatures of Paul Walker, Chad Lindberg - who played “Jesse” - and the movie’s director Rob Cohen.

If you’re going to buy the car, you’ll be hearing a lot of the popular line “Too soon, junior,” because under the hood it has a mostly stock 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a four-speed automatic transmission.

According to Barrett-Johnson, the car has made several appearances over the years to help promote the movie.

Although the price is yet unknown, you can bet the film’s fans will pay a lot of money for this piece of movie history. Also because it has the signature of the late Paul Walker.

As you all remember, the beloved actor died in 2013 when, together with a friend, left an event in a red Porsche Carrera GT and minutes after, they crashed into a concrete lamppost and two trees at quite a high speed, after which the car burst into flames, killing both its occupants. Further investigation revealed the speed was somewhere between 80 and 93 miles per hour.

Jesse’s Volkswagen Jetta is not the only car that appeared in one of the Fast and Furious movies and was later sold, as Morimoto’s yellow-black Nissan 350Z, from Tokyo Drift, was also sold in August 2015 for $233,710.
