Je Design Introduces the 440 HP VW Touareg Hybrid

The latest car to get the attention of Je Design is the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, a model that has not only received visual enhancement from the tuners, but also a boost in power. Specifically, the car has received a widebody kit, a lowered suspension(EUR1,428) and a new set of wheels (aluminum painted in black.)

Exterior highlights include a redesigned grille, new spoilers and wheel arches, a rear apron and a roof spoiler all made from Polyurethane (PU), priced at EUR5,355. Moreover, the tuners say they can add a custom exhaust system as well, featuring stainless steel pipes 90 mm in diameter for an extra EUR595.

In terms of performance, the 379 hp 3.0-liter TFSI engine in the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid was tweaked to 440 HP (324 kW) and 630 Nm of torque while the electric motor was left untouched. The new 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) acceleration time is 5.9 seconds (0.6 seconds faster than the stock) while top speed has increased from 240 to 255 km/h.

For individual coordination, the wheels are available in three different finishes: shadow silver with a polished front surface, matte black with a matte silver front surface and matte graphite silver with polished rim. However, custom painted wheels are also available. The complete wheel package is offered for EUR 5,190, while single wheels are available for EUR690 each.

The engine upgrade program costs EUR3,999, and Je Design say it is also able to increase the output on the 3.0-liter TDI model, from 240 HP (177 kW) to 285 HP (210 kW).

The complete Je Design upgrade, including assembly, paint and TUV-registration is available for EUR21,105.
